Overview

Polychads Voice is a Chrome extension that adds live voice chat to Polymarket trading pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

TL;DR: We don't record audio, we don't access your trading data, and we don't collect personal information. Audio is streamed live and discarded.

Data We Collect

Microphone Audio — Streamed in real-time when you click "Unmute." Audio is transmitted peer-to-peer and is never recorded or stored.
Display Name — Your public Polymarket display name or wallet address prefix. Used only to identify you in the participant list during your active session. Never stored on our servers.
Extension State — Connection status and mute preference. Stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage. Never transmitted to any server.

Data We Do NOT Collect

❌ Browsing history or activity
❌ Trading data, positions, or order history
❌ Wallet addresses, private keys, or credentials
❌ Personal information (email, name, phone number)
❌ Cookies or authentication tokens
❌ Audio recordings of any kind

Permissions Explained

Chrome will ask you to approve the following permissions when you install the extension. Here's exactly why each one is needed:

`offscreen`	Required to process audio in a background document (Chrome's Offscreen API for WebRTC)
`storage`	Save your mute preference locally in your browser
`webNavigation`	Detect when you navigate to a supported Polymarket market page
`tabs`	Show the voice chat UI on the correct browser tab
`alarms`	Keep the voice connection alive while the service worker is idle
`polymarket.com/*`	Inject the voice chat panel into Polymarket pages (host permission)

Third-Party Services

Our token server generates temporary, short-lived authentication tokens for voice chat sessions. It processes only room names and display names — no personal data is sent or stored.

Data Retention

We retain no user data. All session data is discarded immediately when you leave the voice chat or close the browser tab. There are no databases, no analytics, and no tracking.

Your Rights

Revoke mic access — Go to Chrome Settings → Privacy → Microphone and remove the extension
Uninstall — Removes all local data and preferences instantly
Mute anytime — Audio is only transmitted when you explicitly unmute

Children's Privacy

This extension is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
